branding for startup companies

Why Creating a Brand is Important

So you’ve decided to start a company. You developed a well thought out business plan. Everything is in order. Well, almost! There is one area that you seem to have overlooked – your business image. Your brand; your concept is what the world will think of when they see you. So what it says about you is just as important as everything else.

Too often people tend to say, “it’s just a logo – what’s the big deal?

The truth is, it’s a HUGE deal! That logo; that brand image is what people will associate with your business every time they think of or hear your company name. Think of Budweiser. What is one of the first things to come to mind when you think of them? For many, it’s the Clydesdale horses. For others its the red logo. What’s the common factor? People remember both of those images and think of them in a positive manner.

Use the wrong design to represent your brand and you could be sending out the wrong message. The littlest detail can have a huge impact on how people see you. When marketing your brand you want the most effective approach that will produce the positive results that you seek.

Having a recognizable brand is important to business success. When you see the Coca-Cola brand you immediately recognize it and can relate to it. Even if you’re not a fan of Coca-Cola products, the brand image is undeniable. That is how powerful branding can be. People remember what they see and they remember how seeing that brand makes them feel.

One thing to remember is that your brand speaks for you when you are not around. So what is says is crucial to the life of your business. It’s not just an image or a saying, it’s what you want the world to know about your business. It needs to pack a punch and deliver your message to the masses.

Branding connects your message to potential customers each and every day; 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Is your brand effective? Is it delivering the results you need? If not then it may need to be reviewed before you place it out on the world wide web for all to see. First impressions are important. Be sure your business is making a great one.
